My name is Kim Eastman, wife, mother, and creator behind Illyria-Highland Farms.

I have been crocheting and crafting since I was a little girl, first sparked by my Grandma Caroline Bruehahn, when she taught me how to quilt.  

Some years later I started teaching myself how to crochet through YouTube videos and through persistence and a lot of practice, it has grown to be one of my favorite forms of creativity.

The one question I get the most is where I came up with the name Illyria-Highland Farms?  Though crocheting and crafting are my main hobby, I have been doing genealogy since I was 15 years old.  Illyria Township, located in Northeast Iowa, is an area where my grandmother’s family lived for many generations and are also buried.  As a result, this area holds a special place in my heart.
